OT: UNC Hires Ex-Illini HC

Tim Beckman has joined UNC as a "volunteer coach" on defense. He was fired from Illinois last year, you may recall, for "allegedly" mistreating players. He now joins DC, Gene Chizik, who, himself, was fired from Auburn as HC, amidst alleged NCAA violations under his watch. Perfect fits for UNC. The Heels head into the season ranked #15.

Leavitt is now the DC at University of Colorado.
What a collection of characters at UNC. Can't understand why anyone would consider going there with the swirl of NCAA stuff, which will amount to nothing. We had one bad season, and we were deemed a "dumpster fire." If we were a dumpster fire, UNC is a dump fire, but guess that winning and "reputation" puts the fire out.

Beckman resigned from his volunteer role on Thursday, under pressure from the UNC adminstration. Go Heels!
