OT: Walking Dead (spoilers)

The wall is down...time for a big brawl next week.

I wonder who dies? Someone always does at the mid season or season finale.

First dumpster I've ever seen that was 10" off the ground. BS.

What caused that building to collapse? That long gash didn't just happen. Someone had to do it. Wolves?

Glocks don't have a thumb safety Rick.

So you buy the concept that the entire human population has a virus that makes them rise from the dead and eat the living, yet you can't accept a dumpster being high enough off the ground for Glenn to squeeze under it.

I really enjoyed the episode. Such tension building up. Carol following after Morgan, who knew she watches everything; Carl being stalked; Enid and Glenn stuck behind the horde; and the walls come down. Can't wait to see the midseason finale next week!

Great episode!

I knew Glenn was still alive.....

Looking forward to next week!

Really liked the episode. So many things set up that are about to go down, really tense which is what the show does so well.

I like the idea of Glenn being ok, and so close to making it home but there's a sea of walkers between him and there.

Score a point for Morgan and his passiveness (if Rick hadn't let him live he wouldn't have been aroun to save Daryl and Aaron). Still think cold-blooded Carol ("you have to kill in order to not become a monster") and Rick aren't buying it.

Don't forget Abraham, Sasha and Daryl are on their way back with a truck full of fuel and RPGs.

You really have to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the show. You can poke holes in anything, but it's tv, and for the sake of moving the story and keeping it interesting, they have to take some liberties.

The Glen escape was a good story line for the show..... You have to have things like that sprinkled in to keep it interesting...... They can show endless scenes of knifing zombies in the head, that gets boring quickly.

Over the seasons they have tried various zombie attacks in an attempt to mix it up..... Zombies dropping in as a ceiling collapses..... Zombies in police combat gear, etc..... Some did not care for all of it, but you have to understand we need new stuff every couple of episodes to hold interest..

.. We can always have a new village to move to, or a new terror group to worry about (wolves, eg)..... .. Zombies threatening the humans in various ways is also important

Surprised Ron was able to get past that tight security detail at the armory :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Spoiler***)Question is does Glenn survive the season. They shot Negan's famous scene which will be aired in the season finale in March. I don't know who it is who is at the receiving end of Lucille though. The show likes to change things up.

Don't want to spoil anything so I'll keep it vague, I feel like too many people know how what you are referencing unfolds, especially with what has gone on this season. I really don't think they let it play out that way in the show, it would be a major letdown.

We may see a lot of explosions in the midseason finale. BLow up the truck and let the walkers walk into the fire.

I think the truck and RPGs will come in pretty handy once they arrive.....

Total B.S. that Glenn "miraculously" survived. It's all about the ratings and keeping the female viewers who like the romantic relationship between Maggie and Glenn interested. Glenn used to be such a cool character-- a resourceful pizza delivery boy with guts and ingenuity. Now, he's transformed into an unrealistic Rambo type and romantic lead.

It's ironic how the writers killed off all the dynamic and interesting characters but retained the sympathetic and maudlin ones that appeal to certain segment of the viewers. Don't get me started on the new and sensitive Darryl.

This was an awful episode..reminded why I am disinterested in this show again after they won me back the prior two years

Are you truly disinterested and not planning to watch next week, then, or will you be back on next week's thread to comment again?

The show almost lost me this year as well. I didn't want to make the commitment to watching it this Season. However, I heard rave reviews about the first 3 episodes from friends and family so i blitzed watch them on Optimum on Demand. I did really enjoy those episodes, which I thought were among the best in the series. These last few episodes left me feeling disinterested again.

However, the trailer for next week's episode will keep my watching.
