This will be a long thread as the Yanks are going to the World Series.

Mets fans, go and buy Judge shirts today and jump on the bandwagon.
Even though we don't need you since the Stadium will be packed tonight and in every playoff game.

Here's the announced line up for the Yankees vs. Ervin Santana and the Twins tonight:

1) Gardner
2) Judge
3) Sanchez
4) Gregorius
5) Castro
6) Bird
7) Hicks
8) Ellsbury (DH)
9) T. Frazier

I'm nervous as hell. Almost everything points to a Yankees win tonight. rutger80 pointed out the recent record between the two teams. I'm pretty sure Minnesota is riding a 12 playoff game losing streak.

Sano didn't even make the Twins roster meaning he's not even a late game threat off the bench.

But this is baseball...

Delusional. Slim chance they get through BOTH CLE and HOU/BOS.

And before that, zero pressure on the twins. I expect the Jankees to be tighter than a frog's ass. Lots of Ks tonight. Santana pitching well and berrios can come in if needed.

Don't think they can beat Cleveland. NYY starting pitching doesn't matchup to Kluber, Carrasco and Bauer. even if they can get it to 5 games, they will face Kluber twice.

Joe Girardi wanted to go the defensive route (Hicks in CF and T. Frazier at 3B), keeps Ellsbury's bat in the line-up along with Bird. Headley and Holliday are the regulars that are on the bench but will be available to be used later in the game.Tyler Wade is also on the roster and will be the speedy pinch runner if needed. Girardi believes the post season means runs will be at a premium and he wants to shut off avenues for the Twins to create runs.

Severino, Gray and Sabathia are the rostered starters for this game in addition to the full complement of Yankees relievers.

I don't listen to him much anymore but I did a few weeks ago when Judge was coming out of his slump. A kid called up and said what were the chances that Judge hit 50 HR's. He lost his freakin' mind - yelling at the caller, mocking him. It was brutal. Let's just say his judgement isn't always the best, haha.

So everyone here I assume is rooting for the Yankees . If they get to the World Series game 7 and a rainout then our Maryland game will be in Piscataway

Epic performance by Severino.

As George would say: 'he spit the bit'

I was concerned about the pitching matchup going into the game. Didn't realize the 1st inning would more closely resemble slo pitch softball.

Seems like their were "indications"?

"Luis Severino dominated most of the teams he faced this season.

The Twins weren’t one of them.

When the right-hander took the mound against them for the first time on Sept. 20, he gave up three runs in just three innings before being pulled by Joe Girardi after his pitch count escalated."

Exactly Ash. That was my concern.

There was talk about not starting him on the 20th so Minn wouldn't have the advantage of facing him recently. Don't know if it would have mattered.

Minn by far the worst team in the playoffs. Big step up bos/hous and bigger step la/wash
