Look at the wins, Norfolk, Kansas and Indiana. We really beat nobody, right? But then look at the losses. PSU, MSU, OSU and WSU. These are all teams with good records. Penn States two losses were against OSU and #21 Temple. WSU lost a freakish game to Portland State in the pouring rain and they've been rolling ever since. The other two are undefeated and we stole one in a heart breaking loss.
So at 3-4, it's not as bad as it looks except for OSU. Okay, so maybe I'm an optimist because if we lost the Indiana game then we are 2-5 and I'm not posting this. I'm throwing out the horrendous performance in the rain at penn state and I'm saying that OSU runs the table.
My point is this season is not over. We have winnable games that can get us to a bowl and I hope our fans can hang in there through the Wisconsin and Michigan games. We are going to face adversity every year because this is our schedule and it doesn't get easier. The good news is that when we are good enough to beat these teams, it means we have a very solid football program and its not just getting into the top 25, it's about staying there.
Cheer up Charlie, our day will come.
