I would suggest that many of you visit the LSU board and take a look at their commit list. To say that theirs is "different" from ours would be an understatement. I bring this up because Rettig was one of these players once. The fact that he decided to transfer should not be considered as he was not a good player, probably just another great player amongst a lot of other greater players.
Whatever Flood decides, I'm sure, will be what they think gives them the best chance to win.
He was spending last season running the scout team which does nothing to develop his skills.
Now, he is in his environment. It appears that he is flourishing. Let the games begin.

you are correct his transfer shouldn't be considered and neither should his HS ranking. best man plays

None of you or me have a dang clue who is the better qb. We really need to trust the staff and support their decision. The last thing anyone needs right now is a controversy, please don't start one by rooting for one over the other.

Fans arguing over a player or coach decision? Your right that could kill our season. Maybe the analysts knew that would happen and why Rutgers is rated so low.

You don't think that you maniacs booing Savage every snap had anything to do with him leaving or the team underachieving?

You also don't think that booing Nova incompletions or interceptions that hit WRs hands or frankly as soon as you all saw him step on the field had anything to do with some performance issues at times?

Why do you think home teams perform better in virtually every sport? ???

I can answer the latter question. Part of it has to do with the fact that road teams are tired from the travel and the home teams got to sleep in their own bed.

What is this pop warner? They are traveling on private planes and even the home team is sleeping in a hotel.

The comparison truly is unbelievable. For the 2015 LSU had roughly around 13-14 recruits in the TOP 300 rankings in the nation on the 247. Using that same site we had 1 recruit in the TOP 300 (Marques Ford). Now of course I would say one of the bigger factors for that class was while the real heart of the decision making was going on in these recruits minds we were still and AAC team that hadn't proven ourselves in the BIG10. And LSU was a team that had been in the SEC a while and have won some big bowls in the past 5-10 years while these recruits were growing up and most likely were OBSESSED with watching those bowl games. So I think that actually is great news for RU because we have had some great recruiting classes WITHOUT being the in top conference in the nation. Now that we have that AND have proven that we are a legit competitor for wins and Championships!

Considering the success we have had in the past decade.... wait until we start having 5 TOP 300 recruits a YEAR MINIMUM! Wait until the results we see then! (And this WILL HAPPEN in the very near future as long as nobody freaks out and makes the massive mistake of losing FLOOD as our head coach if we have a so-so or bad record this season. Flood had "IT" in 2014 with possibly the best recruiting class EVER at Rutgers and then he made one poor tactical decision by pulling offers if a kid commits and then continues to take visits. For the record, Flood learned his lesson and no longer has that policy, but had that ONE LITTLE choice gone differently everyone would be RAVING about Flood's recruiting ability. OH and he did that without the BIG10!)

Anybody going to be disappointed if the QB they're rooting for is not selected as the starter? Personally I'm neutral on the matter and trust the coaching staff will select the best player. Also, I don't use ESPN as a reliable recruiting source.

This. I'm not rooting against one guy or the other. I don't know shit about the little nuances that I'm sure Fridge and Flood can pick up on. I trust that they know what they're talking about.

Nobody boos anyone until AFTER they perform. And in college, not that much. Most of the "booing" was here.

Tell that to Ryan Cubit. Anyone with half a brain realizes that it is dangerous to have your mind set on one of these two kids and act outraged if they don't get the job. Whoever is in at QB is my guy and I am trusting the coaches completely this year. We can't keep pulling this sh*t every year, it's busch league.

Obviously the coaching staff is still not sure which guy gives us the best chance to win at this point. I am sure that they hope that one clinches the deal during the scrimmage over the weekend. If both play well again then I think they need to pick one but not be hesitant to insert the other if the offense struggles. Both should certainly play against Norfolk State.

Go Ru quarterback! That's how easy this is. Coaches, good or bad know more than us. And I think we have a solid staff. I like the idea of a #1 QB but these 2 kids seems to be evenly matched.
