***Owen Bowles commits to Rutgers***

Great news ! Awesome ! A year under S& C coach Parker , and then a 3 year starter ! Centers are the smartest linemen ! ;)

Welcome Mr. Bowles!

Just think what we would be doing if the coaches had NJ ties.

With his size and athleticism, he's really a perfect center for our offense.

Welcome to the banks Owen! Don't think he's played any center yet, though, so it'll be interesting to see how he adapts. Ash said he'll start him out on O but switch to D if it doesn't work out.

what a class! I guess we don't NEED jersey ties to recruit.
To give credit where it is due, Ash did bring in Rick Mantz to help in the jersey ties dept..
Just another reason why Ash is so professional, he gets it done.

Welcome Mr. Bowles and your statement is 100% accurate. All centers know this to be true.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Great news. Kid is versatile. We'll see where Ash decides he works best, but either way nice solid get.

You played center I assume:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I did indeed, as well as Long snapper and played middle linebacker and occasionally D line when the need arose. Of course it was for a Group 1 high school, lol, but 2x state champs (aka sectional champs, lol) 3 year Varsity starter, later a coach, and even later a 10 year NJSIAA on field official.
Now a full time Ru fan /4 decade season ticket holder, and alum of Rutgers College, 1975 of course. My sister was in my graduating class, and we think the first brother and sister to graduate from Rutgers College, since they did not go co ed til 1972.

Center was my position of choice, unfortunately it was the center of the sofa..

I knew there was a reason I liked Abro1975. Yes started in 4th grade. Played football for 14 yrs. and wrestled for 11 yrs. both at a lower division than RU. As I get older every ache and pain I have can be attributed to those days. It was fun then, sucks big time now. Luckily no brain damage, at least I don't think so, but my wife might have a different opinion on that.

great motor. Owen should be a really good fit here. Good luck to the young man
