All we need is Flood passing out pizza to the students, Empire state building lit 'scarlet,' and oh yea, play damn near perfect! One can dream right?
Here are the answers: 27 and Nov. 26, 2011.
You tell me the question.
We can all fantasize but remember the number and that date while you pump the brakes a bit.
The Empire State Building was lit up in scarlet against MSU. BTN had some beautiful shots of it after some commercial breaks. It looked absolutely awesome. It might not have the same effect this week considering out opponent is also scarlet. All we need is Flood passing out pizza to the students, Empire state building lit 'scarlet,' and oh yea, play damn near perfect! 27 straight Big Ten wins for OSU. Last conference loss happened on the aforementioned date.27 ray rice . November 26, 2011? That was schiano's last season here . Loss to uconn ? Not sure what that would have to do with Saturday .
Then they should light up the ESB in chrome. The Empire State Building was lit up in scarlet against MSU. BTN had some beautiful shots of it after some commercial breaks. It looked absolutely awesome. It might not have the same effect this week considering out opponent is also scarlet.

Dream Big
F U for stomping on a dream! I will be there and ready to rush the field with Rutgers upset over OSU!8-0 then.

It's never been done before, no reason to not continue that statistic !They say the 28th straight conference win is the hardest to get
According to the official website, the ESB was lit up in its "traditional white" on 10/10/15. Pink on 10/9 for BC awareness. White again on 10/11. I'm pretty sure that if it was lit red for us, than it would have been a big deal and people would have talked about it. Also, just watched through pretty much all of the commercial breaks on the BTN2Go replay and they didn't show anything. So you might be mistaken. The Empire State Building was lit up in scarlet against MSU. BTN had some beautiful shots of it after some commercial breaks. It looked absolutely awesome. Of course more was at stake back in 06 but I'm sorry beating the national champs at home with our backs against the wall due to off field issues and distractions certainly has the "juice." Beating tOSU trumps beating Louisville anyday in my book.
It showed the Empire State Building in red in white twice:
First time was a wide view of the entire skyline at 1:34:52
Second time was an awesome close up at 2:06:25
I'm surprised no one else noticed to be honest.

The 'Ville was a VERY confident team coming in here in '06.They played like Champions UNTIL something happened. Then "IT ALL FELL APART".Can it happen again? They play the game to find those things out.It will be fun to watch and wait to see if lightning can indeed strike twice. The major difference is RU was a top 20 team going into that game. It was a very critical game in the college football landscape and RU, which eventually ascended to the top 10, was a major part of it.
Beating the number 1 team would be tremendous but it does not have the juice of 2006, not even close.
For the Louisville game, it was all red, that footage showed white lighting in the middle. But I guess it doesn't really matter when it was from or whether it was for Rutgers or not. The fact that it was on national TV and it makes people associate a scarlet empire state building with Rutgers football is huge for our program. They must have been showing historical footage the night of the MSU game. Apart from the fact that the Empire State Building's own website says the building was lit white that night, the answer is in the moon! The video clips of the building in red during the MSU game posted above show the moon as more than half full. According to a website I checked, on October 10, 2015 in New Jersey, we were almost at the new moon. If that's accurate, the footage could not have been shot that night. Based on some quick internet research, the footage was probably consistent with November 9, 2006 (the classic Louisville game) as far as the phase of the moon is concerned. Of course, it really shouldn't matter how it was lit that night. The mere fact that they show the old footage still ties us nicely to the City for anyone viewing the game.
