Do I have any hope of getting into Johnson Park or lot 30/parking deck if I arrive as late as 1pm tomorrow? We'll be in two cars. Not interested in tailgating just interested in not parking at the RAC. I've never tried it this way before. Thanks for your opinions

Rockin,
If Johnson Park is not open right across from the stadium, try down by the zoo and racetrack end and park for FREE. You could also park at the church next to the stadium ($35).

Also wondering this myself? Would normally go Heavens route (shhh! don't give away the secret!), but circumstances of the day require getting to the stadium as close to kickoff as possible and leaving as early as possible after the game.

You should be fine. The forecast right now is not looking good, it's gonna be a miserable rain day and will probably affect the crowd.

I used to park at Lot 30 or the parking deck on College Ave. around an hour before game time and take the College Ave./Senior Street shuttle when there wasn't time to tailgate, with no issues. I'd be careful for big night games like Michigan State & Ohio State though; have a strong feeling those two will be full earlier on.

This might be a stupid question, but is tailgating allowed in the lot by the zoo and racetrack?

How many hours before game should you arrive to guarantee parking? Are there any different restrictions in that lot compared to the blue, yellow, purple, etc... lots? I am assuming Johnson may be the most difficult lot to get out of since it is directly across the street from the stadium?

Tailgating in the lot would be allowed to the extent of say, a sub from tastees and brown bagged beers (or cups) eaten on the rear bumper... Of course, there are also multiple open picnic groves.
