It's killing me. I want PSU to lose. But I dont want penis to get fired. Ugh.
Better for PSU to win and Maryland to lose. The lovefest for Durkin will be unbearable here if Maryland wins.

Wild series on the blocked punt at PSU's 15 and then the subsequent fumble by Hills on the sack. Maryland is finally facing real competition.
Only on here would we post more about Ped State and Twerp U...you rarely if ever see this on other B1G message boards "free" or not...hoping the team can make it a least interesting for 1/2 a game...but with no offense that is not being realistic.

Should be interesting if Oden starts. I think Pigrome was ours for the taking, but we chose Oden. I've heard people say Pigrome was more ready to be a freshman starter as he already had the size, but that Oden has the much higher potential.
We literally can't stop Penn State right now on the ground. McSorley looks like Michael Vick and Saquan already has 130+ yards. Need to figure out how to slow them down or they'll easily pull away.
Looks like Hills is probably done for the day though which is probably a blessing in disguise. Similar to to Laviano for y'all, he totally handicaps our play calling ability because he can't throw it more than five yards downfield.

Barkley will be gone after this year. He's a 1st round pick, he'd be an idiot to stay. That's about the entire psu offense. Their line still sucks and he makes his own yards. Franklin is going to pound Barkley into the ground this year.

PSU is 2nd worst team in the country converting 3rd down? You'd think with Barkley they'd be pretty darn good on short yardage situations.
I wish he'd be gone, but he's only a true sophomore. He needs to wait one more year for NFL draft eligibility.
PSU with 300 yards rushing in 3 quarters. From my armchair I don't think Marylands defense can stop them.

We are sadly a group which spends more time talking about other teams than our own...I realize we are lacking quality in many areas but Rutgers has ALWAYS
had a bad habit of propping up other opponents on the schedule... self flagelation is our best attribute.
Simply not true, have you visited this board? All we do is bitch about our own team, ofc with Flood as the previous coach and Laviano as the current QB a fair amount of complaining is justified.

Fwiw I like us to win 2-3 more games this year, including next week against Minnesota.
I don't think Maryland is a very good team but we finally did what we were supposed to do against a bad team - beat them convincingly. The score was not indicative of how well Penn State played today IMO. Best performance I have seen since ILL last year and probably one of the top three performances since Franklin arrived.
One thing I will add. I said here that if Franklin wanted to have any chance of success at Penn State he needed to hand the keys to Moorhead and get the hell out of his way. I have been critical of McSorley not keeping enough and our offense (QB and RB) not using any pitches or the edges. Lo and behold, today was completely different. In addition, Barkley and McSorley were alternating who was running inside and who was running inside and the MD defense had absolutely no answers.
Our defense still has a lot of issues and we also lost one of our best OL for the season but today was encouraging for me as a PSU fan.

So much this. There will likely still be bumps on the road ahead - how could there not be with 77 kids with freshman or sophomore eligibility - but it looked like the light finally flipped on for a lot of guys today. Absolute great team win and you're 100% right that we left 14+ points on the field.
