I realize many on this board struggle with perspective and basic Basketball knowledge for that matter. But for those of us who want RU to succeed and that includes Pike and every player on the roster, just read the comments made by our very own Myles Johnson. He redshirted and then came along slowly and was a solid 5 for us at the end. Better than solid. He said it took him over a year to learn how to play Defense our way. The last few games I have seen much better team D. A lot of first and second year players in Pike's system. Mostly first year.

Defense is looking better for sure

The problem is in an era where nearly everyone hits the portal every year, how do you sustain a program where it takes over a year to learn the system?

what you say is true, you are forgetting the two best players on the team who are freshmen are leaving after one year. Perspective would matter if they were coming back next season.
