I know its been pretty depressing at times watching this team perform these past few weeks... We have been outmatched, outcoached, outhustled, outeverything, and it sucks!! I'm frustrated as I want to see this team step up and compete better against more talented teams... But deep down, what were some of you expecting? Missing our best DT (and heart and soul of team). both DE's (Mera and Turay have been hurt). Our whole secondary getting a total makeover 2 days before the first game... Our best WR in and out of the lineup...3 new OL....new QB....new OC calling the plays....then all the distractions really have made this the toughest year I have ever been through as a Rutgers fan.... It would have been tough enough competing at full strength, but this is the hand we've been dealt.... So it is what it is....We have Nebraska coming in...NEBRASKA!!! So they may not be the team they were in the 90's...But they are still one of the more storied programs in NCAA football!! Can we win? Or even compete? Will this be another blowout? Will this be the week this team pulls a shocker out of their ass? Who the hell knows!! But I do know one thing... We have a home game on Saturday!! My crew and I will be there early tailgating as usual getting pumped up for R team to pull off an upset!! Why you might ask? Isn't all hope lost? BECAUSE I AM A RUTGERS FOOTBALL FAN!! That's why!! There's only 7 home games a year!! 7 times we get to hang out in the parking lots cooking up exotic meals, and sharing good drinks with our fellow fans!! For 7 saturdays a year, we get to forget about all of our other problems in life and enjoy a total major college football gameday atmosphere!! If you would rather sit home and grovel about how Flood sucks as a coach...or that Rossi's D can't stop a cool breeze... Maybe they can't...Maybe they should be fired...But that's not for me to decide...The powers that be (who are a hell of a lot more qualified to make those decisions) will make that decision...And I will support it!! Just as I will support this program on Saturday, and for the rest of the season!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!
