Basketball Pikiell talks Issa Thiam, previews B1G tournament

Thanks. Nothing on Issa but what can he say under the circumstances.

Just want to note that I tried to ask a question on if the team was down on having to play in the first round after all the talk of getting the bye and after playing well. Didn't get through.

I had heard a watered-down version of this. This is worse than I thought.

The dream scenario would be Massoud and a grad transfer athletic 4 in the 2019 class.

Massoud is a pipe dream. First off you need Manning to be fired. Then you need Massoud to ask out of his LOI. Then you need him to pick Rutgers at a time when other major programs who are scrambling for a guy will be all over him. Not happening.

I wouldn’t be so sure

The fact his brothter is RU bound (and I believe saw the basketball atmosphere vs PSU?) gives us an advantage over many other schools

Would seem to be pretty far from a pipe dream as there is first, a good chance of Manning getting fired, and second, its been pretty much acknowledged all along how much he and his brother want to play together. Doesn't sound like a pipe dream to me.

I think this is the first time I agree with Chow. Not saying it's going to happen, but I wouldn't call it a pipe dream.

Perhaps his brother playing at same school competes with “strong ass offers” at other schools.

GO RU
