i think it's pretty clear at this point what he brings to the program (or rather what he's turning the program into). When do extension talks start? Year two is early but IMO it's worth it, especially if we can find more staff money.

they gave Ash and extension and he has not done half as much....yes it was in his contract but still...much more promising in hoops than football right now. Pike might deserve one but might wait until midway year 3

Pike is the real deal. The only thing this team is missing is better talent. And Pike is a good recruiter with more pieces coming.

He will get this program to the dance.

100% agreed...I was thinking of this as well actually during the MSU game tonight.....Hobbs is a Basketball guy and he knows a gem in Pikiell and I hope and am reasonably confident that Pikiell will get an extension after this year or by next year at the latest

I never like early extensions and still don’t believe in the one we gave Ash. I’d be ok with extending Pikiell. We are competitive with good teams, he’s bringing in players, the team plays exceptionally hard for him, and unlike our recent coaches, he’s anything but an embarrassment.

We were neck and neck with the number 3 team in the country with 8 minutes left with only one senior starting and only two seniors playing significant minutes.

Give him an extension when you have to for recruiting sake or when he has earned one.

How many paying fans attended a game vs #3 team?

What is the best team Pikiell has beat?

Like him a lot. He has laid the foundation. Tons more work to be done.

You guys want to give him an extension after an 0-3 stretch. You guys think we should give out participation ribbons after losses too.

In all honesty, I agree with Greene. Give the extension when it impacts recruiting. There never should be a question, but it's not needed now.

I am thrilled with who we have as our HC. SP is the real deal. He's such a breath of fresh air when one thinks about what many of us have been through for over 20 years.
