Either RU is getting better or MSU is nowhere close to top 5 program. Things may not be as bad as we thought for the rest of our games.

A little of both I'd say. I said the same in another thread. The rest of our games shouldn't look so daunting if we play like this. Michigan/OSU (even OSU is up and down) are probably the real uphill battles left.

I've said it before there aren't many, if any, dominating teams in college football. KSU was up 35-17 on TCU but TCU survived. Arkansas was up on Alabama but Bama came back. FSU is going to win by 5 at home over Miami. These teams were in dog fights but survived just like MSU tonight. Oklahoma went down. Baylor is the only one that's looked really dominating throughout but they haven't played anyone yet.

MSU overrated or not, we looked like a football team tonight, much better than the game against PSU. O and D both, had a good game, The MSU receivers had some really good catches tonight.
Their receivers caught everything thrown close. That was a catching clinic.

Gr8 receivers or our lack of secondary ?

I'm not sure msu is a top 5 program right now but they're certainly top 10 or 12. We had a good game. Going forward I'm not sure this changes anything though.

Got to admit I was wrong about this one. Didn't think we had much of chance going in. Not because MSU is so good or has so much more talent, but because we were looking bad and I had no faith in the coaches. Hopefully this is a sign of better things to come.

8 of 10 people see MSU as overrated this year. Army almost beat PSU last Saturday and today they got stuffed by around 40 pts. Pulling Carroo out of the closet after being out all a long time is a real curveball for teams

Most of you guys thought we had no chance. if purdue could play them tight why couldn't we at home?
