Dear coach ash

Maybe you don't know but you should bring back retreads from schianos staff or former Rutgers players to coach at Rutgers. Considering we have won nothing in over 100 years I don't understand why you don't want these guys who have contributed to the legacy of one of the worst P5 football programs over the past 30 years. I mean how many other teams have won nothing except for a 12 way tie for the conference one year. There are players that I know and coaches that I know from the one year our team was ranked. You should hire all of them bc I know them. And if I have heard of them that means they are good.

Thanks coach!

The notion that all coaches from outside of the NJ area will guarantee better success than the past is truly wishful thinking.Nobody knows what will happen this year positive or negative.

Don't believe anyone has said that
"all coaches from outside of the NJ area will guarantee better success "

...just that - essentially when prospects, their parents, and their coaches are sitting down and contemplating the pivotal life decision of where to chose to spend their collegiate athletic career,.... they are most definitely not going to get all hung up on whether the Rutgers coach is or isn't a "Jersey" guy.

Their thinking is going to be influenced by the opportunity that will open the most doors - create the best possibilities for the rest of their life.

Thankfully the real way to answer the question will be the results on the field and not a ton of varied opinions...

Recruiting is such an odd duck...my friend works out high profile NJ kids...as in 5 of top 15
high profile...and he tells me they change their minds like crazy and none of this ' HC knowing NJ coaches
stuff' pushes their buttons...they are all over the place...one kid always wanted PSU even though the
position coaches there are not too strong where he plays...others change top choices monthly...lots liked Flood
but were never going to RU so liking him mattered not...same with a few ex-assistants..why never RU? I
asked a few myself and got mostly shoulder shrugs and not right for me answers...so be it

So better to win and let the chips fall than to think there is some NJ ab formula that spells recruiting
success...
