and I'll forgive you.

Steve's piece today (not linked for those boycotting NJ Online) was aimed at Barchi: requesting that the President answer what his intentions/ level of support are for the program. Through in Julie , gift wrap it...and call it my Chanukah, Christmas or Kwanza gift I don't care.

JUST DO IT!

If this is such a nightmare might I suggest seppuku?

Why do you blame Julie for Flood? I hope she fires him but people make it out like Flood was her hire...

I put the blame more on JH more then anyone else. Flood isn't going to step down and forfeit a paycheck. Its her job as AD to fire him and find a replacement.

You blame JH more than Pernetti for hiring him in the first place? That's kinda strange man. It was an AWFUL hire. I'm hopeful that JH corrects things, but this may have been the worst move Tim P. ever made.

It wasn't her hire but he's worked for her for 3 years now. That's long enough to pull the plug if she wanted to go in a different direction. So what's stopping her now?

Pernetti took a big gamble which obviously didn't pan out but JH then raised his salary which actually made it more difficult to fire him because of budget restraints.

Raised his salary and extended his contract by 2 years. She owns it. Its amazing the lengths the JH toadies will go to exonerate her from any blame

You have Towers to thank for that, to say JH should have turned him down is saying that JH should've walked away from free money.

No, Pernetti panicked and acted in desperation.

I don't have a problem with the extension because it was funded privately. How many here were complaining about his lack of security and it affecting recruiting. So he got an extension and raise and after last year I didn't see any complaints. Now this year we hear them.

The problem isn't the extension, the only issue is does any contractual move you make harm your long term financial flexibility. If not it doesn't matter then. It's playing both sides of the fence and ideally that's the way you'd want it. You're set up for either outcome. If Flood works out his security is set and if he doesn't your long term financial flexibility hasn't been harmed and you can let him go. Since this was funded privately I would think it didn't harm our financial flexibility but we'll find out.

Wow, just wow. There are so many ill-informed people here putting the blame on JH. If any of you who are blaming JH even had an inkling of what she has done behind the scenes and what she's up against, you would drop to your knees chanting "We're not worthy. We're not worthy." So get a clue.
