I really like the idea of positional recruiting but I think it comes with risks. Does anyone know if this is common among the national recruiting teams only? On the plus side, the coach is accountable and sells his skills. On the down side, the coaches are not focused on the state relationships. Whereas a Flood could take a chance on a coach or two, grabbing a likable recruiter, or inexperienced coach to fill spots, Ash will not. I still can't get over how experienced out ST coach compared to most schools where they put the "young" guy in there. After thinking about this for a bit, I see this as a HUGE difference between then and now. Am I over thinking this?
