Purdue has a tough schedule I was trying to drop them down a few because of it. By the end of the work day I may do just that.

Edit: 1/14 - leaving Purdue for now - might drop them below Indiana and Nebraska. Moving Rutgers to 12 - Illinois should be winless going into February don’t be think they have the heart to battle out of the bottom and Penn St stinks so putting us above them by default - goes without saying those games will be big for us and at this point in time I imagine we will be small favorites.

I fear last place comes down to us vs. Illinois and unfortunately we only play them once at their place, and their style of play is not a good matchup for us.

I endorse this.

On the bottom of the league and RU finish, PSU is already 0-6. Illinois and Northwestern do not look good, although both have potential.

We currently have the best wins amongst those bottom-4 teams. If we beat Northwestern on Friday we will kind of be in the drivers seat for that 10th spot. Honestly that finish would be a nice step forward.

Tomorrow's Purdue game will be very interesting. I think RU playing good defense can make this much closer. I have seen Purdue several times. Control Carson and you have a chance. I am eager to see what happens here.

Friday will be a big game. Need to get that win.

Any further Rutgers wins will occur in grind out games where the winning score will be probably less than 65 points.

Just don't finish last. That Ohio State win shows we are capable of winning a good chunk of games.

Does it though? I guess it depends what “good chunk” means/implies. Ohio St is tied for 9th in conference after playing big games against Minnesota Illinois Michigan St Rutgers and Iowa. They’ve lost 3 straight and their next 4 games are:

Maryland (H)
Purdue (H)
Nebraska (A)
Michigan (A)

I’m very interested to see the standings when we head to Columbus right after that for our first game in February. That game is on Feb 2nd. By Feb 4th Rutgers NW and Penn St play each other. Illinois will probably stay at the bottom. But I wonder if Ohio St could fall to stay 11th or 12th by the end of January/First week of February.

4-5. But yeah, I mean we could only win 1. Rutgers doesn't make anything easy.

I see 8 schools making it with the possibility that Ohio State could sneak in as the 9th team.

Michigan and MSU are legit national title contenders and I think Maryland, Nebby, and Minny are legit sweet 16 contenders

Chambers will be fired at Penn State. They won the NIT last year but considering that there is such a drop off right now, it looks like he had to make the NCAA last season.....his pushing of a player is an easy way that they can justify getting rid of him. I dont think he is a particularly good coach.

Rutgers ain't finishing last. Steve Pikiell and Montez Mathis, Geo Baker, and Ron Harper Jr won't allow it.
Right, the others who have played for RU in the last 5 years weren't trying hard enough to finish outside of last
