Just a little fyi. I am staying current on rules and such despite not reffing this year.
Here is one change that has gone public.(I don't like it)
This season the Referee and the Center Judge will turn their attention to the QB as soon as it is apparent it is a passing play. They want 2 views of any roughing the passer plays. Before at the snap the Referee would watch the right tackle until pressure was applied and the Center Judge would watch left tackle after snap for entire play. Now the Umpire has to watch all lineman for holding on a pass play.
On roughing the passer look for the 2 officials to discuss the flag after it is thrown. They can pick it up if one see's the play differently. They also can discuss after a QB is hit and no flag is thrown and throw one after the play. Somewhat like intentional grounding.
Qb's who start to run or roll away from presser will be treated more like a runner than before. A QB who is standing in the pocket will be protected a lot. It basically has to be a form tackle from the waste to the shoulders of the QB.
With all the attention turned to the QB prepare for less holding to be called because of only 1 set of eyes on the line and because it may keep a QB from getting drilled if let some holds go.

So prepare to scream at the refs some more. Ha
