Apparently this was done often in the 90's and We had a thread about this a few months ago. A BWI poster stated that all schools are open to have competitive spring games but it excludes you from post season which is not a concern for the Ivy League.

I wanted our Spring Game at Red Bull Arena and Yankee Stadium and that was considered crazy. Princeton took their program and spring game to freaking Japan!

It was considered crazy bc it was crazy. There is zero reason for us to play anywhere but HP Solutions Stadium. Not just for players but also for fans and recruits. Ivy League schools don't qualify for 1AA playoffs so this makes sense for them.
