Question: Why is the funding all a big donors problem?

We can all fork over money. Why should it only the big donors? We do not give anywhere near as much as most B1G fan bases do. We want champagne, but think Hamm's is to much to ask for.

Everyone should ask why should big donors do all of the work. Studies show that the more the "general" alumni give, the bigger the donations you get from those who can afford it.

Hell, I donate as a faculty member to my program because ithelps our Development office solicit bigger donations from others. I gave about 15% of my pre-taxed salary and had it matched when at RU years ago with 3 kids.... Not bragging, simply stating that we are all in it together. This is the way to get people to give more.
