Questions about the purple lot

So a bunch of my buddies and I (about 8 of us) are going to the game Saturday and have a parking pass for the purple lot. I go to a few games a year but usually park at the rac or take the bus from college ave so I don't know anything about the purple lot. Wondering if anyone with knowledge about it could help me with a few questions.

How is it? Are there any restrictions with using a small gas grill? I read that gates open 3 hours to kickoff, but was planning on getting there at noon, will we be able to get in? How are the people there generally? Anyone here parking there this saturday?

Purple lot is awesome. If you get there 3 hours early there will be a ton of people already there. They let you in whenever. The good spots along the outside grass areas will probably already be taken. I use a propane grill, works great.
