Verizon Fios on my laptop is no problem, but the cell phone requires iTunes login and then wants to verify credit card info. Anyone with the breakdown here? Thanks.

It's not on the basic level of Comcast - you need a higher entertainment package or the sports package to get it.
An iPhone wanting you to login to your account is standard operating procedure, but verifying the credit card info seems strange, but might be normal.
If you get the channel on your TV you have access to BTN2Go. Just need to be able to verify your account.
Thanks for the info, an dI've been following their on-screen prompts, but still to no avail. Actually it's for my sister who is also a Rutgers crackhead, and she'll be at her daughter's lacrosse scrimmage tomorrow and wants to watch it on her phone. I'll work on it tomorrow morning.
rara- I haven't tried it on my iphone but I know they even verify CC even if downloading a free app...sorry that is not a help but that may possibly be the case here.
I didn't have the BTN2GO app on my iPhone but just to see I tried downloading it. I didn't need verify any credit card info. Actually I don't even tie a credit card to my iTunes account. I only use iTunes gift cards to load it up as necessary, plus they're discounted at the warehouse clubs and some retailers from time to time.
Anyways, I just had to login to my FIOS account to verify I have BTN which I do on FIOS Extreme package. That's usually the SOP with any of these apps from the tv networks but I've never had to verify credit info on any of them.
Only thing is if you're streaming on phone without wifi available is to possibly be aware of how much data is streamed. I don't know how much data is used to stream part of a game but it might be something to be aware of depending on how much data you have on your plan.

Directv user here. Stream btn games off phone no problem. Like said above probably good to check data plan
You must have BTN package on your TV cable or dish subscription. Then you sign in using your TV/Dish account login name and password. I'll be watching today on BTN2go in Santa Fe NM.
Time Warner offers BTN as part of it Sports Pass package, which gives you a dozen or more sports channels as a bundle. And with BTN via TWC you then also have access to BTN2GO.
