seems like a decent deal so far. I don't have a pass. I buy single games (around 10) and move around...but also pay more per game to do so.So we are 10 game in. I thought I would ask. What have been your seat assignments. I have bounced around the 200 level, mostly upper rows. For MSU I was in section 312, row B. And you?
I have it, but I dont actually sit in the seat they assign me. I find a row of seats open and pick a seat in much better locations.
Where have you been assigned
oh no, I didn't think you were. I was just expressing my opinion that it seemed OK and not getting screwed. (I almost pulled the trigger on them but can't commit to all games..or I would have).I am not complaining. I am very pleased with how this has worked out. I was just curious to see where people have ended up.
Based on the news here I’ll be getting two next year. Have seen every game either in person or on the tv. Good idea and shocked it was implemented correctly
I wouldn’t say we are being screwed because the price was so low, but I do get annoyed when they play a game like Cleveland State and I’m assigned the corner of upper 200 levels, but when I get in the stadium Center court mid 200 is wide open. Those seats aren’t going to magically sell last second so why not give it to the rac pass people. MSU game I totally underand being upper corner
and just move over...nobody is going to bother you. I will be both pleased AND disappointed when I have to start sitting in the first row 300 level seats I buy. That will force me to pay and move down. For that price they are not going to assign you a better seat.
For that price they are not going to assign you a better seat.
One thing I wish they added to the RAC pass was a way to pay to upgrade your seat. I've only been able to make 2 games so far due to recently moving, but at those games I would have gladly paid extra to have a 100 level seat.
Exactly, the premise is to get you into the arena, the main goal is to get you to become a season ticket holder. They're not doing this to get you to be a RAC pass renewal candidate. It's basically a ticket giveaway promotion. They're not making much off of their $4.50 per game. How much extra would you be willing to pay for a 100-level seat. 100-level tickets are $41, not including the required donation. Assuming there are 100-level seats unsold, how much above your $4.50 per game RACPass are you willing to pay for an upgrade.
I think the point of the RACPass is a low-cost way to get the occasional fan or new fan into the building. It is a cheap way for someone to see games and test the waters to see if they eventually want to buy season tickets. But they intentionally want to give you less desirable seats (and occasionally tease you with a better seat), so you have an incentive to buy season tickets next year. The last thing they want to do is have season ticket holders give up their season tickets and buy a $99 RACPass to sit in seats equivalent to their season seats.
