At the Michigan game I had a chance to speak with JH and unprompted she brought up Barchi and spoke glowingly of him. She said they finally have the support needed from the administration and he has done a lot to help the program and has even done some things in regards to financial support that they have never had before. She said Barchi really wants the programs to succeed and that it was important for the university as a whole. I thought it was odd because I had always heard they didn't have the best relationship at times, and I understand its her boss but she went above and beyond to her happiness with the support.
With the way this is transpiring now and Hobbs seems to have a larger than expected war chest to hire a coach, it does look like he is on board with the big time program idea and getting everything done right. I'm cautiously optimistic about the future here and think the worst is behind us.
