Is it me or the IU OL got actually tired toward the fourth quarter? RU's got way more penetrations and TKFL with just four guys coming in. But I think the spread offense actually did have a toll on IU's OL....
Conversely (perhaps) our DL is deep...we were very fresh come the fourth...
Their best DL (Mangianus sp) did not get a sack despite getting four in the last two games...Cannot tell who was our OL against me...I think we rotate a bit for Lumpking was out at times.
Despite a despondent performance and shortcomings in our secondary, Austin,Cioffi, Wheaton and Hester have an amazing upside...don't give up on these kids.
K Wilson coached well...he is a good coach....the problem with spread teams is that once you take commanding league, it gets really hard to control the ball and manage time. He did make a very good adjustment on the second half.
I called it prior to the season that folks would be disappointed with Turay...some posters are down on Turay...do not be....he is playing well, and he is just a hair behind at least two sacks. But he is getting better at the run game...
Next year's two deep DL, particularly if Hamilton returns, will be one of the best in the Big Ten, if not in the nation. Joseph, Lambert, Pinnix, and Hamilton are all extremely good. Wilkins got into the mix as well.
Perhaps due to IU's center, but Joseph had a monster game.
Cioffi is faster than many think.....
Love the RB rotation....even Goodwin got into the mix...and talking about Goodwin, the kid blocks well despite his size.
Agudosi quietly had almost 80 yards in receptions....he needs to see the field.
Nick A had a good game 16 yards catching and good blocking.
Laviano got a nice mouth thrash from McDaniels in the 3rd....Rettig was shown on TV cheering for the team quite enthusiastically.
Sudfeld had less than 70 total yards passing on the 4th.
