Rate coaches in Big 10

How about we wait two years before doing a useless exercise? How did it go for Scott Frost when he stepped up from UCF to the big boy conference. Not very well.

Wrong. Never let facts get in the way of a good rant.

Plus, is it really ever useful to compare a coach of one of the have-not programs (like Maryland) versus a coach who is surrounded by 4-5 star talent? For example, who knows how "good" the current Ohio State coach is, honestly...

Ummmm… No
We have all witnessed Greg’s Coaching performance over the last 3 years. That’s enough.
A Coach who continues to be stubborn and inflexible. Won’t listen to anyone but himself because he must be right all the time. How’s that working for us ? Still the doormat and joke of B1G Football.

I won’t try to rank them, but here’s a go at putting them in buckets.

Top Tier:
Day
Harbaugh
Franklin

Ferentz Tier:
Ferentz

Good/Servicable Tier:
Locksley
Brohm
Fleck
Bielema

Tucker Tier:
Tucker - may fall to bottom tier

Bottom Tier:
Schiano
Allen
Fitzgerald - I know everyone likes to think he’s great, but he’s basically NW’s Schiano

NKOTB Tier:
Fickell
Rhule

you think Greg is so bad you put him in there twice? LOL..

I agree with those saying the team makes a difference but your list would pretty much match mine all things being what they are.

Perhaps, the better question is which BIG coach would be the most desired in an open market across college football right now.
Interesting ..I think it would depend on the program.

Harbaugh last two years puts him tops in 02's top bucket team (perennial top 10 like)
I think PJ Fleck and Franklin for the 2nd Tier Programs (Top m25 like team)

No way. Fitzgerald is way better than Greg. When Schiano posts a winning Big Ten record even once, we can have that discussion,
