fire flood cost $1.4mm plus and then there are other costs associated with assistants and the like. hire a new coach and assistants say a $3mm commitment all in. so at least a 12 month commitment of 4.5mm. we most likely lose our recruiting class. again never a good time to have a down year and fire a coach, but why now?? we are less than 2 years away from more money from the BIG and 4 years away from a full share. has flood not earned the chance for 1 more year? 9-4 , 6-7, 8-5 and ? (say 5-7) also all the media that is flaming the fire flood or at the very least "flood is on the hotseat" chatter will kill Rutgers for the cost of firing him. it is going to be a mess anyway you look at it.
I was a BIG Flood supporter, I am now a realist. unless someone understands the math better than I do I think we should be fans and support our team, our alma mater and OUR kids. I am rooting for Rutgers to be successful and if Flood and staff can make that happen great, if not, then in due time we will be able to upgrade OUR team in the future.
