His defense looks attrocious and doesn't block out on the foul line.
Northern Iowa, a program heading back to the NCAAs and pretty much Creighton as far as Midwest basketball goes, offered Dailey. Would an offer from UCF or BC impress you more than UNI?
It's all about development. We can't afford four Corey Sanders' every cycle.
Just commenting on what I saw on tape. His defense was attrocious and he didn't even block out on the foul line. Nothing to do with who offered and who didn't. It is obvious to the eye he isn't a player that can compete in B1G. Maybe 1 game isn't enough of a sample, but he was very unimpressive.
And there were handful of B1G schools that wanted him for 2017.
I highly doubt that....like who?
His court awareness and passing seemed legit in the video. Toughness and defense can be stressed by the right coach. Plus this game wasn't really a contest, many HS players with a large talent advantage relax.
Plus it was mostly highlights of scoring plays, maybe the parts we didn't see were better defensively. Seems long and athletic, I trust the right coach would get results from him on both sides of the ball.
Basketball IQ and court awareness are important.
Wisky also
His team scored 91, they won.We saw him get beat quite a few times. His team gave up 91 points.
You said you doubt that they had interest in him. They wanted him to prep. Once he prepped, we would be off the table.Did they offer him a scholarship? Or did they check him out and realized he wasn't a fit?
Which one?

Sendek would out recruit the current class - by a wide marginYou said you doubt that they had interest in him. They wanted him to prep. Once he prepped, we would be off the table.
Unless we hire Hurley or Masiello don't expect much better recruits than Dailey or the guys we have now.

Jack White committed to Duke and his only other offers were Albany, Boise, Loyola Marymount and Mercer. Guess you wouldn't take him either, right? You need to stop trying to fit your negativity into every post.

Would he out recruit our 2014 and 2015 classes? I'll ask the insiders. It's more than just Sendek. It's flights to visit recruits, budget for assistants, recruiting budget, etc. without a significant increase across the board, Sendek is as effective as Jordan on the recruiting trail.
What has Jordan recruited in 2014 and 2015?
The guy has a track record of hiring big assistants - that wont suddenly stop.Who is Sendek bringing here without knowing his staff? He's a better college coach but don't tell me Rutgers will turn into Basketball U with his hire alone.
Do fans expect 4 stars? Good 3-stars? From what part of country?

I didn't say we will have a top 5 class, but it we wont be battling the Big South for all our players
I'll say it again - where else is Sendek going for a job?Outrecruit which schools? Nova, Cincy, SMU, St Johns? Based on what? Rutgers boosters are friendlier than NC State and Arizona State? Who is he hiring to bring in these Corey Sanders types?
Sendek recruited basketball Players Tobacco Road and ASU.
Bringing talent to Rutgers is another thing .
Plus I'm starting to believe he's not that interested based on Thamel and BDodger's comments
Ill say it again - where else is Sendek going for a job.
He hopes that he gets a shot at Rutgers - no top 40 job is grabbing Sendek - he's not that exciting.
RU & Sendek is an excellent match. We need competence - and he is competent. But if I'm UNLV or Georgetown or UCLA (or another school that may have struggled) I am not hiring Herb Sendek
I'm confused - I know you want Jordan out, but you seem convinced we wont be able to hire a decent coach. Why should we bother trying to compete then?Big assistants don't accept discounts. Ill wait to see who he hires before I believe that this dumpster fire program can outrecruit the schools you expect us to.
