‘19 QB Cole Snyder (Southwestern - NY): “The BBQ was sick. Met a lot of people from recruits to coaches to other people on the staff. Picked up a couple of commits today that will be a big asset. Starting to build the chemistry with teammates which is going to be a big part of our success. We are building something at RU.”
'21 QB Dorian Nowell (Paramus Catholic - NJ): "It went great, everybody spent some quality time with the coaches. I spent some time with coach McNulty, they are looking forward to seeing my varsity film this year. They are still continuing to recruit Christian Mahogany heavily, along with our new transfers Tahshawn Brinson and Devin Willock."
’21 RB Jahsim Brooks (Paramus Catholic - NJ): “Today was a phenomenal day at the barbecue. I was able to meet majority of the coaches and tour the campus to see the environment. I was also able to take pictures in the uniforms and see the field. The barbecue was great, we did a bunch of different things like musical chairs and many other games such as trivia and ping pong. Also got the chance to socialize with many of the other phenomenal athletes around the state. The event concluded by coach Ash saying a few words on the upcoming season. My day was outstanding and I can really see myself being a knight in the future."
'20 WR Kieran Reynolds (Don Bosco Prep - NJ): "My father and I both attended the BBQ. I got a chance to take picture in uniform. After that we walked over to the practice field to eat and play some games. We also got a chance to interact with the coaches and other recruits in a relaxed setting. I was able to continue to build my relationships with people on the Rutgers staff, especially coach (Lester) Erb."
'19 WR Marlyn Johnson (Peddie School - NJ): “I went to the BBQ event today with my dad and three younger siblings. We had a real good time and ate some good food. When we first got there we did a photoshoot and then I got a chance to sit down with coach Ash. He was preaching the same things to me that he has in the past. He told me that I’m a guy that they really wanted and need because of my size. They don’t have anybody at the receiver position right now with my size, so he thinks I could help right away. He also said that I could do big things with Art (Sitkowski) and we could be really special.”
‘21 WR Jalen Cheek (Winslow Township - NJ): “Overall the barbecue today was a great experience. The best part was when we first arrived and went into the locker room to try on the uniforms. It was an instant rush that came over me. We then walked into the stadium as if we were gearing up for Rutgers game day. We wrapped up the day with food, games, and a chance to socialize and interact with other recruiters and coaches.”
’19 TE Dylan Deveney (Hun School - NJ): “It was good and we just basically ate some bbq and all the Rutgers commits got a chance to meet each other. I also got a chance to see all the coaches again. it was a pretty cool trip.”
'19 OL Christian Mahogany (Paramus Catholic - NJ): “It was both fun and entertaining. They had some great food and I really enjoyed myself a lot. I got a chance to speak to a couple of the commits to see what they think.”
’19 DE Smith Vilbert (St. Joe’s Regional - NJ): “The BBQ was a great time. My family and I went down there talk to the coaches, ate for a while then they gave us a tour around the campus to check out everything. My family loved all of it.”
’20 DT Jahmir Greene (Don Bosco Prep - NJ): “The Rutgers BBQ was great. It was a fun day of pictures, food, and games. We got to spend some time with some of their amazing staff. It’s always great to be backon campus.
’20 DT Devin Willock (Paramus Catholic - NJ): “The BBQ was great. It was good for the team and gave us a good outlook on Rumors tgers. When we first got there and got geared up in the Rutgers uniforms. Followed that up with a photo shoot and saw one of the Rutgers Football hype videos. We then proceeded to the BBQ, which was a fun time. It was cool to just hang out with the coaches and eat good food. Overall it was a good and fun trip, love to see Rutgers showing interest in us and it’s always nice to see them reaching out to get us on campus.”
’20 DB Sanoussi Kane (Blair Academy - NJ): "The atmosphere and the enthusiasm that the coaches brought to the bbq really stood out to me. I feel like they were genuinely excited to have us there and it showed that the program has the right people in place to get the program to national contention.”
'21 DB Christian Abraham (Paramus Catholic - NJ): "The whole visit the staff was showing us PC guys a lot of love. They made everyone feel like they were family. We toured the campus, locker room and weight room. It was all really beautiful."
‘19 ATH Brian Ugwu (Hillside - NJ): “The visit was real good, it was a chill day. I feel comfortable with Rutgers they show how much they want me in their program.”
