Rick Mantz thinks he has the best job in the world.

It’s not just because he’s working at his alma mater, or working in college football again for the first time after nearly two decades at the high school level. It’s because of what, exactly, he gets to do on a day-to-day basis as Rutgers’ director of high school relations.

Very good article, loved this quote on Ash.

"What high school coaches have realized about Chris Ash is that if a kid is going to leave the state, it's going to be with him wrapped around the kid's leg,” Mantz said.
 
Interesting read. Had no idea such a position existed but given our problems over the years in several sports getting NJ kids to come here, it makes great sense for us to move in this direction. Ash is already reminding me a lot of Schiano, given the organizational skills that he is bringing to the position. Now I just hope he can coach the players up on game days!
