PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Jan. 17, 2020) – Dale Stanavichsigned a National Letter of Intent to compete for Rutgers baseball, head coach Steve Owens has announced Friday. A native of Amsterdam, New York, Stanavich becomes the sixth student-athlete to join the Scarlet Knights’ latest recruiting class. He is the Junior College Division 3 Preseason Pitcher of the Year by The JBB heading into this spring and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining once joining the program next fall.
“Dale is a very talented athlete who has made the transition from being a reliever and position player to a starting pitcher,” Owens said. “He has an excellent arm and should be an immediate impact player for us in the Big Ten next season as a left-handed starter. I really like his personality and his competitive nature, he is a perfect fit for our program. We are excited about his addition and look forward to helping him achieve his goals.”
