Find it interesting that CBS 24/7 sports in ranking our class has Manning as our 2cd highest rated commit, yet he had to fight for that offer and Rutgers fans werent exactly over-elated. Guys like Pollock (who I feel is destined for greatness barring injury) are ranked a few levels down even though the 2 are almost the same size and JP Morgan is at the bottom of the class although he may have the highest ceiling due to his size
My guess is that Jersey has a positive bias in the rankings whereas NY definitely has a negative bias due to lack of good coaching and facilities and probably lack of development before high school.
not saying any of this to be negative, I am more hoping that the staff has a chance to mold some of these NY players into something far beyond their initial rankings
