How the hell do these guys get to fly into five cities per year to visit teams they MIGHT want to join? I can't afford to fly to Miami for the Orange Bowl.

he mentions "five" visits. I believe that is the maximum number of officials, no?

yes, OV's are paid for - that's why non-OVs become so important - and why RU's central location to so much talent is a benefit (versus a school like Nebraska that's further away from so much High School talent).......... now, you have to take advantage of that fact....

I think the op probably meant ovs but perhaps not.
It seems like the grouping of Ron Johnson, Brad Hawkins, Cesar Ruiz ( pre IMG) and Ahmir Mitchell
Saw PSU, OSU,Michigan and may have seen 2 or more other schools

I always wondered about the UOV's. We were making damn good money and certainly were not flying all over for unpaid visits.
I see some kids from much less affluent families doing this and it just sort of has a little stink to it.

Shh!

Jeez...

The kids going on UOV visits have gone as a group. Think the Camden kids/ Paramus Catholic kids, etc.

The South Jersey/Phily group was going on visits all over thanks to a gentleman who passed away and gave part of his wealth towards players with poorer backgrounds so they could visit schools.

Stop trying to create a narrative for the poor recruiting.

Schools should not pay for officials. By paying you are treating a HS kid like he is a pro.
If you are going to pay of officials then you might as well for hookers and whatever the kids want.
I would eliminate officials, red shirting, and transferring (if the kid is on scholarship) from CFB.
