It is with sadness that the Cook Community Alumni Association announces the sudden passing of Dr. Roy DeBoer, Professor Emeritus and former Chairman of the Landscape Architecture Department at Cook College, yesterday. Dr. DeBoer was an icon and mainstay on the Cook Campus for decades. We mourn his loss and remember the vitality and life he gave to the College, the campus, and Rutgers University.

Personally, I will say I find it ironic that Dr. DeBoer passed away on St. Patrick's Day. His jovial nature and enjoyment of the fullness of life connected so well with the day and the festivities.
