So with our new coach, it's he needs time, it's a new system, etc. With theirs, they were "duped" by a "gimmick." Interesting.

That might turn out to be a true, but you won't know it this season.

We beat the teams we should and are doing it with a well coached, talent challenged roster.

They are getting destroyed on their home field by non power 5 teams and look horrible in the process.

It's night and day. There was a reason they tried to get Ash before their current coach.

I thought their offense is "indefensible"

Not according to them. They said that Ash is a "meathead" and that they passed on him. They also claimed Babers offense is "indefensible" after their big win over Colgate. Apparently the mighty South Florida Bulls found a way to defend it.

Ash never even interviewed after they tried to engage him because Hobbs reached out to him. Dude has higher aspirations than dying away in the hinterlands. They didn't pass in him. He passed on them.

That system is a complete gimmick. They will never win anything of importance. That system will go up and down the field all game and they still lose by 25.

They were dreaming to think that Babers' Xs & Os would magically snap them out of their 10 years of dismal football.

Actually, USF has a hell of a team this year. Better than any USF team we faced in the Big East days.

Conversely, we are laughing at them being up 17-0 and getting put over a non power 5 teams knee.

Meltdown complete.

You barely beat New Mexico, Usf is a good team, they would beat you by at least 3 tds.

Oh yeah? A team we historically own, who we beat when they were #2 in the country, would beat us by 3 TD's at home? Why? Because they doubled up Syracuse?? Ok pal. I know you are trying to ease the pain of getting whooped by a mid- major on your home field but please do so on your own message board. Thanks. And it may not have been as decisive a victory as it should have been but RU won and covered the spread. On a day when Fruit U and Virginia lost to AAC schools and Iowa lost to NDST at home, we'll take it and move on.

What count is that you win the game not by how much. I see some of your fans are trying to say they won because you have more total offensive yards, so pathetic. USF was always a team we expected to win with ease.

I see your recruiting is doing well, lol

Surprised that the Fruit Loops didn't rush the field and tear down the goal posts after the game to claim a moral victory?

Are they still at it with this? They said the same thing after we beat them in our last meeting in 2012. This isn't fantasy football. What the scoreboard when the clock hits 00:00 is all that counts.

You can't really say we'd beat USF just because we used to beat them in the past. Just look how well that worked for Florida State yesterday against Louisville.
Schedule South Florida for a late October night game and watch them wither in the cold. After losing to RU, they would usually pack it in and lose out the rest of the season. USF was fun.

Lol...if only that formula would work for teams like Miami, FSU and UF then we'd schedule them in late October also

BTW -- I am under the impression that Urban Meyer told Ash that Syracuse was a dead end job. And Ash then cancelled the interview.

Serious question: Is there any hope for the Boston College and Syracuse programs in the ACC FB universe? Why has BC done so poorly, particularly with the additional money the ACC has provided them for years?

Better than #2?
That USF team was overrated at #2, after a 6-0 start they finished 3-3 for their next 6 including getting blown out by Oregon in their bowl game. USF people believe this is the best team they've ever had. Being a big follower of HS football in Florida and seeing how they have recruited...I would agree. It Doesn't mean they will win their conference, just that it looks like they have a solid team this year. And David, I don't know how old your are, but while we did win our match-ups with USF most of the time, they were usually dogfights. Oh, and history don't mean Jack...only thing that matters is the current team in the current year.

South Florida seems to always beat up on the fruit. I think they are 8-2 against them over the last 10 games.

After all of the bragging about Babers offense they are finally realizing that it doesn't mean crap if your D is completely inept! Thinking 2-9/3-8 for them this year and back to the GRob years.

You beat them when Jim Levitt was their coach. They won 8 games last year, they have a lot of talent. You barely beat a bad New Mexico team, enjoy it, it might be your last win of the year.

Thanks for dropping by and competing, not sure your compelling argument of "oh yeh you barely beat New Mexico" has gained any converts. Gonby HPSS for your parting gift.

I thought Howard was going to be our only win? Every win we have will always be our last win of the season according to Syracuse fans. Way to gloss over the fact that we covered the spread. And what makes New Mexico a "bad team" exactly? They won 7 games last season, are well coached and score a lot of points. No one is confusing them with Alabama and no one said we played a great game...we didn't...but you take the W and move on.

And I don't even know who South Florida's coach is at the moment, that's how much they matter. Or don't matter really. Thanks for stopping by.
