Similiar struggling Nebraska opened at -1.5 vs Wisconsin tonight and Nebraska $ moved it to -3.5. Many assumed the back against the wall losers of three straight would turn it around. But doesn't always work out like that...
Losers of three straight or Six straight are ripe to be beaten again, they are not showing up as being dangerous
They have already shown considerable weakness[/QUOTE
The odds makers are basically saying both teams are unpredictable with Indiana's losing streak and Rutgers lack of shooters/scorers.The probable outcome will be decided by foul shots in the last two minutes.
Anyone here see Indiana play this season and want to give their thoughts on why they are struggling so much and what their weakness is? How do we match up against them? I haven't seen them play this season

I agree with that....what I was trying to say is that I don't believe that when a team loses the previous game, or several games, it makes them angry and then they play better......losing exposes weaknesses that the next game head coach could also try to exploit..
Indiana has lost something like six in a row....a study of the game films should show us a lot
even with that, it should be an even match as you say...... but we should know what SHOULD
work against them, based on those losses.
A poster on another board said: "I would draw a 12 foot arch on the floor and tell my team if they go outside that line on defense they are getting benched if i was coaching against us. Absolutely make us hit outside shots. We dont have to be golden state, but if we cant knock down a couple 3's early in this or any other game, points are going to be hard to come by."
We need to make sure we keep Langford and Morgan from easily getting into the paint - I'm curious if we pull out the 2-3 zone at any point.
I hope we don't have to. Could be total coincidence, but i doubt it. Our defense was awful right after the Ohio state game where we started to sprinkle in more zone for 2 1/2 games. After we have ditched the zone the D has been good.
Now if we want to play an occasional possession or do something to break rhythm...YES
Well that's an awesome combination for us! I hope we jump all over them early to not give them confidence that Rutgers will get them back on trackSimple. They barely play any defense and the can’t shoot from deep.
Well, that drop did "coincide" directly with Omoruyi not being on the court - so how much was the defense dropoff due to the zone vs. due to his absence? And how much was the zone an attempt to cover his absence and protect the other bigs?
I could definitely see the zone thrown in for 1-2 possessions here and there - but I really doubt it's more than that.
