RU Baseball continues it's Florida Spring Break Road Trip in beautiful SW Florida (Port Charlotte and Fort Meyers)

Today, RU takes on Harvard at 4pm. Freshman Lefty Jared Bellissimo, Toms River, gets the start for RU. Bellissimo has only thrown 3 innings so far, w 13.50 ERA, so today he gets a chance to get that high ERA way down.

After today, RU has 3 games against Indiana St (17-1, wow)

Harvard has a guy who is batting .500 and has a slugging percentage of .940. He has tripled twice today and singled in three times at bat. He has been involved in all of their 5 runs.

Parker Scott struck out the side swinging on 13 pitches his first inning. But he gave up two hits and a walk to four batters, including one of the triples, in the next inning.

RU now losing 7-4 w RU coming to bat in top 7.

RU on it's 5th pitcher already. Our top 3 in the order all have 3 hits, Nyzitor, Welsh and Dezzi.

Now 7-6 after 2 unearned runs without a hit In the top of the seventh.

Surprised Maryland is not better

Maryland was not a great program by any stretch. Ruters had a much better tradition. They went and hired a top notch coach and he started recruiting drafted players, many from nj, and they made a few super regionals.
