MAYBE THIS IS A SPECIAL bSEASON
Rutgers defense probably faced the 2 best QB they will play all year and we definitely don't look elite. Washington receivers had a ton of separation whereas the majority of our passes were well defended.
I think Washington has a descent chance to beat Michigan in their rematch next week. They threw together a lot of talent at the last minute and need time to gel
First time in a long time that the zebras were on our side. Husky fans would have every right to blame the refs That illegal substitution penalty where one of their players jumped on the field to celebrate after the blocked FG was ridiculous and was a huge shift in momentum. We scored the next play
Amazing job by Rutgers marketing. Met a few fans who had never been to a college football game and are now hooked. The train ride back to NY had a bunch of Washington fans. and they had a first class experience. They raved about both the tailgate and the in-game marketing and ranked it amongst the best they have seen
Joe Delaney 's vision is coming true. NYC is an hour train ride for visiting fans. NYC might start getting behind RU if we keep winning, and the media numbers for FOX Sports tonight were probably excellent.
Speaking of FOX, you really notice how long those commercial time puts are when your at the stadium. Added at least 20 or 30 minutes to the game and have our defense a chance to rest
Washington fans must be furious with their coaching. They have the best QB in the B10 and they were regularly swapping him out and running the "Wild Knight" package that never worked
TONIGHT, RUTGERS SHOWED THE REST OF THE COUNTRY THAT WE BELONG
Schiano put on a master class of coaching the last 2 minutes. After Washington scored and used up all their TimeOuts. we were set up for an onside kick. But we literally lined up our entire squad at the 40 yard line. It was al a bluff to see how Washington was going to come out and if they would kick onside which they didn't. When we lined up after the time out. It was back to a semi regular formation. Greg used our last timeout when Washington was driving with 11 seconds left. We had nobody back playing safety and everyone was lined up within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. The fans were about to lose their minds until he called a timeout and He was able to set up a defense and limit Washington to just a 5 yard pass and force a FG attempt from 55 yards out. Bottom line. Greg never showed his hand and ultimately won the chess match
Finally, every RU fan should get the home address of Grady Gross and send him a Christmas card. Dude was the MVP of the game. and I will gladly buy him drinks if I ever see him in Piscataway again. Can't imagine he had a pleasant post game shower experience
The last train from New Brunswick was stopped for 20 minutes outside of Secaucus. Got us to NY after 2am
