RU FH Starts Season Ranked #19

I felt the team was ranked a bit low to start, but with 11 ranked games to play, the team will be able to prove the pollsters wrong. Opening Day on Friday vs #24 Maine to start.

I am a guy, but I actually like field hockey. Don’t know why it isn’t as popular as lacrosse and soccer for girls. Don’t know if too many towns have little league field hockey, but lots of high schools do.

Rutgers field hockey will begin the season in the national rankings, as the NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll was released. The Scarlet Knights are ranked 19th in the preseason rankings.

Really?? Have you ever watched it being played? I'm amazed that anyone volunteers to play it.
