RU Football Needs a C. J. Gettys

I like the idea of me coming in and trying to change the culture of this program that will be remembered for years to come."

Who will that be?

A transfer, a 5th year grad student or a several frosh who would have gone elsewhere but chose Rutgers to make a difference?

We have a the makings of good class (currently 30th in the nation). It would be great to get a couple of CJ's (maybe even NJ guys who played elsewhere and now want to come home). His energy / results (I know only 2 games) ....have been a ray of bright light (if there are now Super Moons....Rutgers needs Super Rays of Light).

Anyone want to guess how he matches up against Big Ten big men ?

His best contribution to RU BB may be during the OOC season. A bigger version of Ollie Bailey perhaps ?

- it's better than him NOT looking good against those schools (and we've seen plenty of that in the recent past)

- just a big body in B1G play will be helpful IMHO

Guys....you're missing my point: Gettys WANTS to be here. He could have gone to Purdue (good basketball school)...but didn't.

He CHOSE Rutgers because of our "down years" in the B!G ...and he wanted to be a part of the turnaround. To be remembered for that.
