Last year's meet was a very exciting one ending in a 21-21 tie but we won the match on criteria # 3 with the most pins.Hofstra returns 2 top kids in Jamil Hudson who was 16-4 last year but got hurt and did not wrestle in the EIWAs at 133. He moves up this year to take on our Anthony Ashnault which should be the signature bout of the evening. Hudson has moved up to 141 this year and is 2-0 in duals having trounced 2012 EIWA champ Cruz from Lehigh last week, 15-8 whhile taking him down 7 times. AA has to be on guard to not let Hudson get rolling on his feet. Cody Ruggirello is a grad student who pinned Theo in last year's dual and also in the EIWAs. So it is a good re-match. Senior Nick Terdick lost to Perrotti 6-4 last year at 157 and moves up to 165 this year. Mike Oxley is a Jersey Boy at 197 and Mike Hughes takes on Billy Smith again in a re-match of last year when Smith won by pin. Delvecchio lost 5-1 at 125 last year to a tough Franco and McCabe went up to 133 to lose to GHudson 16-5. Maverick Passaro red shirted at 133 at RU before transferring to Hofstra

HOFSTRA RU
125 Travis Passaro FR 1-1 Sean McCabe R-So or Nick Ottaviano FR
133 Maverick Passaro R-So 0-2 Scott Delvecchio SO
141 Jamil Hudson R-SO 2-0 Anthony Ashnault R-FR
149 Cody Ruggirello Grad 2-0 Ken Theobold JR
157 Jahiani Callender R-SO 1-1 Anthony Perrotti R-JR
165 Nick Terdick R-SR 0-2 Nick Gravina R-FR
174 Frank Affronti R_SO 0-2 Phil Backukas R-So
184 Jermaine John R-JR 0-2 Hayden Hrymack JR
197 Mike Oxley FR 0-2 Ralph Normandia FR
285 Mike Hughes SO 1-1 Billy Smith R-JR

1.) How's everybody doing health-wise for RU?
2.) You've already detailed our plans with 133. What's the deal with McCabe/Otta/Patrick at 125?
3.) Since we're basically going strength vs. strength in terms of mid-lower weights being the best for both teams, do we have the strength to run through a lot of 157 through 285 and make it a pretty decent win (this is sorta related to question #1)?

I don't think the match will be as close as last year and think we can win 9 matches. That being said I see about 3 matches being close and a point or two swing in those matches can make it interesting. If making a prediction I will go with 27-7 maybe 24-10.

125- Someone needs to step up for RU and claim this spot.
133- I like Delvecchio here. He will surprise people as the season progresses.
141- Ashnault gets his first collegiate win over a ranked wrestler (Hudson #18 intermat)
149- I think Ruggirello wins a close one. I hope I'm wrong. Pulling for Theobold.
157- Perrotti steamrolls.
165- Heard only good things about Gravina. He needs this win.
174- Backukas wins here and will climb into the rankings as season continues.
184- Hrymack had a better season then most people thought he would going into last year and that trend will also continue this year.
197- Probably a toss-up. Hoping Normandia can be serviceable until Campy gets in the lineup.
Hwt- Big Billy dominates.

I have Rutgers winning against Hofstra pretty comfortably. I think we will win at least 7 matches to 3 and I that it's possible we can win 9/10 bouts.

Will Hofstra match be televised? I don't think I can make it up this Sunday...

That's good that it'll be on RVision. I was worried it wouldn't because it doesn't appear on the BTN2Go app. They need to figure out how to have all events appear in both places so people know & can watch, either free or paid.

Any other posters going to the match? I saw WNG and Josh at Rutgers Duals but didn't feel like bothering them (alright I was intimidated). I am going to try and make the pre match event. If my people don't cancel I am bring 5 people who have never been to a Rutgers match.

Don't feel intimidated my friend. Would love to talk to you. I plan on being at the QAnd A so the more the merrier
