Very, very good effort by our ladies. Controlled the game. Out shot the Terps something like 21 to 4. Nicole Whitley scored unassisted on a free kick early in the 1st half. Some good chances that were just short of clicking. Our best was on a beautiful through ball from Madison Tiernan to Carina Hendley. Carina & Colby Ciarrocca both broke in onside behind the defense with only the goalie to beat. Carina had the ball at her feet at a bit of an angle, but still with plenty of net. Instead of shooting she dropped it to Colby coming in the middle, who put it right into the goalie. Not sure that Colby was expecting the ball.

All the above being said, this team is coming together. It is an overall faster team than last years & it is now beginning to play fast. Last night, especially in the 1st half, the passing & ball movement was the quickest, sharpest & best it's been all year. The ladies are beginning to know each other & the rookies are gaining confidence & picking up the pace. Our two young backs moved the ball out & up the best they have all year.

This team has raised it's game up from the 2nd half of the Cornell game, through Drexel & through last night. As a result of our speed, I believe, it looks we are seeing a team that pushes the ball more on offense than last year's very excellent team.

Thanks for the summary!

Loyal-Son & RickB113, your welcome. Happy to do it. Hope they're somewhere near accurate. Really enjoy this program, both players & coaching staff. Been following it closely for the last 4 yrs or so.

Good to hear that the team is jelling as they get into conference play. I am hoping that they will be able to avoid what seemed to letdown trips out to the Midwest this year. During the past two years, they've dropped or tied games with teams not on their level and this cost them B1G championships and a possible or probably home field advantage for the B1G tournament.

Its not just Rutgers. If you look back over the last few years even good teams do not play well on the road.
