Senior Matt Krezmer had a season best throw on his final attempt to place third in the Javelin. Soph Michael Thomas also had a season best throw to finish 5th. (His best throw was ruled a foul and he dropped to 7th)
Frosh Boaz Madeus shattered his PB by almost 1.5 seconds to qualify for the finals in the 400 meter hurdles. His best time going in was the 9th best and his qualifying time was the 5th best. His time was only .18 second off the school record set in 2010 in a NCAA regional.
Fellow frosh Edwyn Pierre finished in 13th improving his best time by 1.83 seconds. His times improved by about 4 seconds from early in the season. If he can continue to improve, he could be a qualifier for the finals in the future.

Winkler once again broke the Rutgers program mark he previously aet with a hammer throw of all-time record with a throw of 73.85 meters (242’ 3”). It was also the farthest hammer throw in the history of the Big Ten Championship, adding another milestone in his great career!
Winkler reset his own Rutgers record of 72.02m (236') set in April, which he recorded a week after shattering the previous school record that was set in 2016 in his debut as a Scarlet Knight. Additionally, the Averill Park, New York, native's mark broke a Big Ten Championship record of 238' 9.25" set in 2015.
