It will be very curious to see how Flood and McDaniels utilize our running back rotation. With 4 talented backs I hope nobody gets angry that they are not the featured back. With James looking to be in top form...Martin and Hicks looking to build on very solid freshman seasons we should be having fresh legs in the game at all times. Additionally, summer practice reports have been very favorable of Justin Goodwin who breaks a lot of big plays apparently.
in my opinion James will likely get 12-15 carries a game with Martin and Hicks getting approx 7-10 each. I think Goodwin might be the oddman out with about 5 carries a game. If I were him I would try and develop into a hybrid back and a 3rd down specialist--which I think he would be a perfect fit for and would be a great slasher type back.
I also didn't list Peoples who has been very good for us at times. This is a good problem to have for us...maybe Flood will just go with the hot hand and give it to the guy who is producing.
