I was very blessed in August 2012 to be with my family at the Olympic women's soccer finals in London and not only see the US win but also see Carli Lloyd score both of the US's goals. An all-time sports highlight for me and my RU sports-crazed son.

Nice article - love watching Lloyd play, as she always gives 110% and it's been great to watch her "find herself" since the Olympics. Would be great to see the women win the Cup.

Brian Hollins, who is the assistant golf pro at Trenton Country Club, is competing in the next round of qualifying for the 2015 US Open on June 8. If he finishes in approximately the top 4 golfers in the sectional qualifier, he would move on to compete in the US Open at Chambers Bay in Tacoma, Washington.

Best wishes are also extended to Brian’s fiancee, Carli Lloyd, who is a midfielder on the US Women’s World Cup Soccer Team. The US Team also begins play on June 8. Carli was on the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated magazine and was also interviewed on Fox Philly News where she mentions both Brian and Trenton Country Club.

Jonelle Filligno was a great player for RU and Canada. But the game for the gold in 2012 that I was at was actually against Japan.

'Pardon the Interruption' w Kornheiser and Wilbon just did a minute or 2 on US Goalie Hope Solo. Wow, she has some serious Domestic Violence baggage , not too mention a possible drinking problem. They were talking how if she was on the men's team, she'd probably would not be playing. Interesting.
