WIth Rutgers final regular season game registering a 41-14 win over the Spartans, Rutgers broke a regular season losing streak of nine, dropping their final regular season game.

The last time Rutgers beat an opponent by 27 or more points in the regular season finale was a 63-14 home victory over Louisville on December 4, 2008.

Officially, Rutgers played before 524,333 fans in 2024. Good luck in the post season and Go Knights!

Great job overcoming many obstacles. Strong performance.
Excellent home attendance this season !

Productive depth was a problem, especially on defense earlier this season. That ~4 game stretch where guys seemed lost on defense, not understanding their gap responsibilities. That may have been largely one guy though and he’s been relegated to the bench since… Credit to the staff that we’ve seen improvement, and Schiano’s claim to finally have some depth has seemed accurate, albeit a little later than we’d hoped.

I also think being forced to give some young guys some run on the OL will be a positive going into next season when we lose a few seniors.

Our depth either turned out better than we thought or they developed lightening fast. Can’t remember the last time we were 3-1 (should have been 4-0) in November. Depth is need in order to do that
True. We did end up playing a lot of players throughout the year and that bye week helped in so many ways. Players got healthier and young kids got more practice reps.

On the other hand MSU is suffering now from not only injuries but the lack of depth we had not too long ago.

We left some meat on the bone this year but we also had some great moments.
