Rutgers Approves Construction of Athletic Practice Facility

[Tango Two]

The four-story, 125-000-square-foot facility will replace outdated and undersized facilities with new practice rooms and locker rooms, as well as strength-training and conditioning facilities for the men’s and women’s basketball, gymnastics and wrestling programs. It is expected to open July 2019.

I'm surprised there's not more excitement about this announcement over here. Just read about this elsewhere and thought I'd see a big thread on it. This looks like great news for your wrestling program. You have a ton of local/regional wrestling talent that just needs to be convinced to choose Rutgers over the more established brands. This has to help.

Hawkeye, I think the response is low because this building has been in the works for awhile. The new AD has several projects in the works to improve Rutgers facilities. This one includes facilities for wrestling, gymnastics and basketball. There are improvements underway to the football practice fields and there are already plans in the works for a new soccer/Lax facility near the stadium. Big things are happening at Rutgers.
