The good news is on some losses RU had early leads … now they need to learn to hold them.

Rutgers played tough on the road at North Carolina -- a good sign, in my opinion, and also a boost for the all-important RPI (I'm not a big fan of RPI, but like it or not, it matters a lot at the end of the season).

These are all warm-ups for conference play, right?

I thought the issue of blowing early leads was brought up by a poster a couple of weeks ago and he was shouted down because our bats were so potent it did not matter. Doesn't seem to be the case. I do wholeheartedly support series against the likes of UNC and Miami to help the team get better and prepared for conference play.
