Watched BTN today talking about our weekend Iowa series and teams such as Illinois ( dominant pitchers) Michigan , Ohio State. 25 regular season games remain then B1G tourney.Dave Revsine mentioned Rutgers Sunday victory and he expects us to start another streak. The guest ( forget his name) was saying in order to receive an at Large bid a team would require finishing in at least top 4 unless you win it all or finish 2nd in the B1G tourney. The discussion also included a question as to why our RPI did not really move up during this 15 game win streak from 41 to at least 30’s. As a Rutgers fan we all know the real reason… “they can’t be any good …they’re Rutgers.” Need to beat or better yet sweep Ohio State and beat Maryland in at minimum 2 of 3.
What is the RPI today? They were saying it was at 41 and never went into the 30’s. To be honest I don’t follow RPI’s . You play who they schedule for you. As we improve so will the rankings and RPI ratings. Keep in mind we aren’t in the top 25 of the rankings that count . We are a good , solid club still short on pitching depth and could use a couple of stud starters . We can get by in the B1G but against ACC and SEC schools it’s a tough assignment. Also Cimillo is a big loss for us is he still a day to day decision?I thought the Rutgers RPI did get into the twenties at one point. I'm certain of it, actually. I think #29...
Right now on Warren Nolan it is 54, which is #2 in conference. Couple that with first place and an outstanding W-L record, I think the outlook is good for Rutgers...What is the RPI today? We do not have 25 regular season games remaining. We have 14 remaining as of today.25 regular season games remain
When did I post having 25 games remaining ? I may be mistaken but it wasn’t this past week . I ‘m almost certain it was several weeks ago. When we were at game 28 29. How many do we have now after having just played Iowa and Hofstra ? Counting the B1G tourney and possible berth in the NCAA tourney without reaching the semi’s would have been around 25. Princeton , Indiana, Iona , Iowa, Hofstra, Ohio State , Michigan, Seton Hall, Bowling Green, that’s 19 right there. So If we win a few in the B1G tourney and make the NCAA they’ll be close to 25 from when I mentioned that number. Last week I did say 15 more games. Do you wish to wager we will play 15 more games prior to the seasons end barring some catastrophic scenario? We do not have 25 regular season games remaining. We have 14 remaining as of today.
Literally say 25 right here posted yesterday at 4:15 lol…all good just a mistake:When did I post having 25 games remaining ? I may be mistaken but it wasn’t this past week .
